Talking strictly about the Weremoose

I really liked how the weremoose looks and animates, great job on that Klei! it really makes you feel powerful.

And that's rpecisely why I really really want the weremoose to be great, a form you actually want to stay in whenever safety in combat is concerned.

So let's talk about this form and why it currently has some problems:

I think the biggest issue at the moment liles in the way combat works in DST as a whole. Since always, we have fought our battles in this game with heavy use of kiting (barring clever use of walls and such) and the moose doesnt seem to be designed to kite well at all. You can charge trough enemies and that can help you avoid damage, for sure... but you only hit them once and then you spend the rest of your charge wasting weremeter.

Kiting isnt' actually impossible for the weremoose, its a much thighter window but its possible, but while kiting you arent hitting the enemy, so your weremeter plummets if you want to conserve your health. So if you want to make use of the Moose, then you need to plant your feet (hooves?) and slug it out with your oponent. You will probably win because the moose has good armor and attack!, but the problem is the playstyle the moose encourages forces you to take damage, and so, when the time runs out, you are left much worse for wear, and suffering damage over time because of the guaranteed starvation. To be honest i'd rather just use a ham bat and a football helmet and kite as any other character would.

In short, I believe the weremoose struggles because his design philosophy goes contraty to the way combat actually works for players. The moose demands resources in the form of idols and food, and offers a guarantee of getting severely battered in return even if you do win. There doesnt seem to be an actual upside.

My solution? remove his moose charge, replace it with... blocking!

Allow the moose to perform timed blocks with his arms to negate damage and have him recover a chunk of meter whenever he succesfully blocks a hit this way. This will ensure that he can stay transformed during a whole boss fight, while avoiding damage like most experienced players already endeavor to do in combat via kiting, and provide a unique approach to combat. The moose can stay slow and engage in slugfests, just let him have a new means of defense.

Also consider restoring woodie's health to full when returning to human form regardless of how much damage the moose took, its already bad enough to be weaponless, armorless, and starving in the middle of wherever the moose form dropped, at least give us a health buffer to escape and regroup.
