Using spools to weave elegant non event skins?

I think we should be able to use spools to weave non-event elegants like head skins and items skins, that way, it would be possible to obtain skins without bizarre steam market prices or extremely rare drop chances.

Even worse, a big chunk of the game's playerbase, China, doesn't even even have access to the Steam market.

It was probably a missed opportunity this year but maybe in the upcoming year of the Pigman/Boarrior/pig king a clay vargling can be the next lunar year critter skin?

Adoption Should Be A Thing

So I got to thinking... the lack of a Klei store on PS4 means we need to find other ways to balance the game. Since trading pet skins is impossible, I thought of a solution. What if when you crafted a pet, you also have another option that you can give that pet away for adoption to anyone else who is currently in the server? So for example I have the year of the Varg puppy skin and my friend also in the server would like it, so after I craft the puppy I can go into the menu, where chat is and put my pet up for adoption. Then anyone else in the server can take the pet. Thus giving the event skin to the host. Not everyone can weave all event items, and trading pets or abandoning a pet in a server isn’t currently a thing. Of course there may be some fine kinks that need to be worked out but I think this helps compensate the lack of a store on PS4.

Help with Cave

I've enter the cave before but never really explore much except knowing there evil rabbit that will tyr to kill me if i bring meat and also make useful thing with the light balls. Also the ruins and finding many good loot to craft powerful things. Thats about it. Just curious what to execpt from the cave and what i maybe should bring in. PS: Im fairly new to the cave because for a long time. I never explored the cave since i didnt enable it in the setting. Took me a bit to figure that out xad.

New Reign Dlc

So NR(new reign) has brought a lot of new stuff and some good changes,for example; regrowth- now you can pick carrots from the ground and they'll be right back after a day or two, trees respawning in that burned to the ground forest, beefalo domestication. You can also plant mushrooms anywhere you want- pretty good. And we can't forget the almighty ruins regeneration. Maxwell got changed and he is now better then his singleplayer self, Willow doesn't end your game when she becomes insane (also thanks to that nerfed fire spread in dst) and Woodie... doesn't skip day and can pick up glommer... And Winona got introduced

What I mean is that NR could be a dlc to the single player which would make some people happy.

There are 2 types of dst players: the one that wants to play with his friends and is for the multiplayer aspect, and the one that plays for the content and makes solo servers. NR in dls form would satisfy the people that want content and dst would still be unique because of skins, multiplayer, events(yes events would not be in singleplayer). 

Lower creatures hp, make fuelweaver spawn less woven shadows and shadow hands, lower the ammount of broken clockworks in the autrium. Make it uncompatible with shipwrecked. I... I'm going to be honest I don't know what to do about RoG being basically inside NR...

But my point is; NR could be a Dlc material. What do you guys think?

Moon Rock Gates

So, recently had this fun thought for Moon Walls that would further serve as a wall for players. This idea is to build upon the socketing feature of the Moonlens. These special Moon Rock Gates are intended for use with Moon Rock Walls and will require a socketing with a gem, which will also add a key in the process. One for every gem available. This can allow two things. One, it can keep randoms from digging in your special chests and taking something before logging, intentional or not. The second is opening up the possibilities of adventure-style maps, making rooms with walls and keeping keys in certain areas. These keys can be toggled with a right-click to allow players to phase through the gates or use them to open them directly. The former is so randoms can't try following a player with the key to bypass the requirement of it.

As for the suggestion on improving walls for player containment, they're pretty bad at that right now. As it stands, players can simply whack the wall and walk over it to get to places they shouldn't be, as the max health is only 800. If they wanted to get into somewhere, they wouldn't waste time trying to hammer it. I suggest keeping it at that health, but for players only, 25 strikes with any weapon per tier should be added, or simply prevent them from being attacked by players and making it 50 hammer strikes to knock one down.

There's a lot of potential with these walls in long-term servers, even if griefers may attempt to abuse them. But we shouldn't hold back decent content because a minority group wants to be a nuisance.

Even if this isn't picked up by Klei, maybe a modder will have a little fun with this idea!

Fix the Carol for Wendy and Willow

I know nobody probably cares but I was just wondering if they could make it so they both sing at the same speed as the other characters, because they both sing faster. Also can we maybe give Willow her own carol rather than just reusing Wendy's

Big Beetles

I've been watching a lot of YouTube videos about Rhinoceros Beetles and thought they'd be cool as a DS creature. Rhinoceros Beetles are just very interesting. They are one of the strongest creatures in the world in relation to body weight and are often kept as pets to fight other beetles in Asian countries. They would be an interesting candidate for a creature in one of the new events (or in the main game), especially if it's going to be another fighting arena like the Forge.

They also already follow the Don't Starve naming convention of combined creatures. Rhinoceros Beetle, Stag Beetle, Rainbow Beetle, or just Bee-tle. There Japanese name also translates literally from kabutomushi to "helmet beetle/bug" so i'm sure there are some interesting possibilities for that.

Intelligence for Pigmans

Can we have Intelligence for Pigmans? this will allow them to wear armor or clothes as their Intelligence meter rase up they will be able to gain more ability like wielding weapons and extinguishing smolders before a fire starts. In order for the pig to gain Intelligence the player needs to make a concoction made from DNA like it could be made with Bones, meat and Phlegm from Ewecus this way it will be a little hard for the player to create since ewecus have 50% spawn rate. This I think will be a good addition to Hamlet and if the Pig gets intelligence meter to full it will then become a permanent companion. #suggestion #dreamcometrue

Pacify Treeguards like pigmen for Winter Feast

I'll reply to these comments tomorrow but it would be nice that like with the Vargs during year of the varg that Winter Feast allows users to command and decorate treeguards. Just a idea but no idea how it would be presented since I'm not a dev.:wilson_ecstatic:

"Orphant"(Koelefant critter)

Had a idea of a critter based on the Koelefant. Since you need to get a item from a creature to make a baby, the wordplay of "orphan" also came to mind.

This might take a bit more of effort but looking at my boss's cat 0412181452-00.jpg.aab5140e9da82749bf03873c8acb15e1.jpginspired me this idea:

    The Combat trait is given to Critters when the player fights or kills Monsters. Killing small and passive Animals such as Rabbits doesn't count towards this trait.

    The Well-fed trait is given to Critters when the player feeds them. The points added to the trait are affected by the Food's freshness and its type and if it's the Critter's favorite food. Fresh food gives the full value, Stale food gives half (50%) of the value, and Spoiled food gives only a tenth (10%) of the value. All Crock Pot dishes give 4 points, while other food gives 1 point. The Critter's favorite food is the food item used in order to adopt it, and feeding a Critter its favorite food gives 5 points to this trait.
    The Well-fed trait adds the adjective "Plump" to the Critter's name and makes them get hungry less often.

So if the critters were designed after these traits when they match this, it'd be a nice addition.

Make Red Hounds... Reder...er?

Good evening Keli,

Wondering if it's possible to change the shade of the Red Hounds to differentiate more from a normal hound. The Blue hounds have such a unique color compared to a normal hound. Could the hue? of the red hounds be changed so it resembles the shade of the blue hound but... more red?

Stuff that needs to be in dst

Ok skins need to be easier to get I have gotten this game a year maybe even 2 ago and I have not gotten one skin I feel like when you open 10 gifs you get a rare item or a skin just make skins easier to get please. Next is more events I'm sorry to say but year of the varg was a let down yes it did add lots of good stuff but I feel like every event should have some thing special like what if you had to play a mini game to get points get more points and you get more rewards the more you get the better but sadly I was hoping for a event called some thing like bunny-men's Easter egg hunt and you find eggs for him to get you some nice items I would love that. Last is the forge it was so fun to play something that wasn't old don't kill me here the game is fun but there's not a end boss and it's more like play when you die so the forge was new and fresh what I want is the forge to be here forever and more enemy's and bosses and event bosses and enemy's that's all I have to say goodbye.

Hello,I would like to share my toughts about this new animated main menu.

Honestly,it's quite nice,quite well animated,though a little bit...different. It lacks something. Some...Atmosphere.

In my opinion,the old menu had it's climate. Even Though I think,that the animated menu from The Forge suits it very well,animated menu not so much to the regular game alrighty.

Mainly,I think here that animated menu's should only appear during very special events,like The Forge. Maybe we could get our old menu back? Or at least an option to do so?


Logging in reward?

Hey there!

I've been wondering, if you would like something like "Rewards for constantly logging in" to be added to the game.

I think it's a pretty good idea, but there are always something bad about any proposition. I know Klei is trying to improve game, and take care of everyone's satisfaction, and this kind of thing is not a very very good thing,

Example :

Someone just loves the game, he wants to have everything that he can have, and tries to play DST everyday if it's possible. But I think there is always time, when that person will be away from his PC and will be unable to pla the game. So it will be hard for this person to get all of the  "constantly logging in rewards".

 

So I thought, that it could be some sort of an event (?)

Example :

Once every 2-3 months (it can be of course any time) there will be an event, in which when you log in the game every day for 1 week (?) straight, you will get special skin (?) or just some number of skin chests.

Like this :

1 Day - 50 spools

2 Day - 100 spools

3 Day - 150 spools

4 Day - 200 spools

5 Day - 250 spools

6 Day - 300 spools

7 day - 4 skin chests / special skin for participating

 

Remember, it's just my thoughts about it how it could look, and this is only a proposition!

If someone sugested it already, just tell me about it in the comments.

This speaks for itself i just think there should be more pets and pets should be given unique power's such as for example the glomglom having the ability to restore sanity such as the glommer but a lot more convenient bigger aura and more sanity since you know its harder to get. I think pets having a purpose would be really cool rather then them just being adorable little fuzz balls, i wish they were tactical adorable fuzz balls.

Can there be kiwi related creatures?

My idea is that there would be a new follower a kiwiling and the ally-able creature the kiwi. The kiwi can be accessed in the desert where a statue would spawn and will spawn a kiwi (animal) along with the Kiwi's Goggles (Which is like the glommer's flower and chester with his eye bone) when a kiwi (which would be a fruit that would be randomly found like carrots which would stack up to 40 restore 10 hunger when raw 11 when cooked and 2 health when raw and 4 when cooked) is put into the mouth of the statue. To get the kiwiling it will be crafted at the rock den and cost 1 kiwi (fruit) and 1 kiwi nugget which will drop from the kiwi (animal) when it is fed a kiwi (fruit).

So some of you might now a game called "Subnautica". In this game there is an item called Scanner that allows players to gain more informaton about structures/plants/creatures.

Yes I want something like that but for ds/t. Of course it can't be a device since ds/t is based more arounds magic so I thought about a book.

You'd need 4 papirus 4 nightmare fuel and 4 feather pencils. When killing a creature while having this book in your incentory you'd get information about that creature.

For example:

(A picture of spider. Not in-game but something like in promotion art., y'know... higher quality than ingame model)

Spiders in this world are as big as a human head. They apper to be aggresive towards humans and humanoid creatures. They live in a nests that are often arounded by rocks or trees which support the nest allowing it to grow to massive sizes. Spiders are nocturnal and only come out at dusk and night or when their nest is approached.

After you kill warior spider:

(same picture but with warior next to normal spider)

*blah blach blach same text* There appears to be more species of spiders. One of these is a warior spider. Warior spider's fur is yellow unlike normal spider's black fur. They protect the nest if it gets attacked. Their strong legs allow them to leap at their target making warior spiders more dangerous.

And after killing other spiders and the queen you'd get a full page with a lot of information about spiders

Exploring, entering caves/ruins would also give you more informations about the world

I think that this would be pretty cool since it would expand our knowlege about the Constant and just because this could also be another thing that would push people towards getting better. they would be curious what else they can learn (and look at coll pictures) about the world
